Cut n paste restaurant reviews...
Dec. 20th, 2006 12:49 pmI have nothing to add to this review of Harry Ramsdens fish and chip restaurant by
libellum, so I present it as she wrote it:
"... we wandered through Soho looking for somewhere that would sell us edible burgers. We ended up in Harry Ramsdens, wasting time and money on a meal which was barely edible and took far too long to arrive. We were the only customers in there, but our order took over 45 mins to arrive; the waitress was uncommunicative and unhelpful; Denny's gammon steak was dry and poor quality and it wasn't until after it arrived that we discovered they didn't have any pineapple. My battered swordfish steak was quite good, but the waiting time and crappy service made it not much fun. We made a fuss and got a complimentary starter, but in retrospect going home to eat would have been quicker, easier, cheaper and better quality.
strongtrousers informs me that this is pretty normal for Harry Ramsdens, so it's probably not just the one near Piccadilly Circus: I'd recommend giving it a miss."
