whoa! thats one fucked up bone... how did it cope with being left for ages before being put right? surely it starts to heal (presumably in the wrong place from this photo) right away? still am very glad they Have put it right. :) and yes, tis a fantastic picture! :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
They've got around two weeks before the bone recovers from the trauma of the accident and starts trying to self-repair, so I was told. After the operation it's four to six weeks before it starts trying to fuse again, which goes to show how seriously they bash things around during the surgery!
Nasty - though I can't view these from work due to your hosting domain being banned from our corporate net. Bleh. Have they done much to stick it all back together?
Pah. The pictures are on a server called ukfetish.info which tends to get banned by porn-blocking lists... which pisses me off no end as it's not a porn site.
The bones are all back in line now, with the aid of two plates and a dozen or more screws, but there are so many bits that it's not a stable repair so I've got to be bloody careful for a few weeks to let it start knitting...
I usually only get time to read entries that actually log on my friends page (which isn't even half of what people actually post **tuts**) so I missed this post :(
It's an impressive break isn't it? One to be proud of if one can be proud of such I thing...
I was dead proud of my kidney scan pic showing the Duplex kidney, and of my 22 kidney stones, which I still have to this day safe in a little container under the stairs.
I get proud of the bizarrest things :)
I'd have kept the chunks of pre-cancerous cervical tissue that was removed last week, had it not been for the fact the hosp rather needed them. That wasn't a being proud thing though, more a that's mine, not yours...a possession thing **grins** I do not like the idea of bits of myself (in chunks) being else where, other than with me.
Apparently they kept some of my skin in the fridge at the hospital after they'd done the skin graft - in case they needed to 'patch it' a bit. I was quite tempted to ask for that back, just to see the look on their faces :)

That's incredible.
Really... compelling. Though I imagine less so for you on account of it actually being your leg.
Really glad you're getting better, have been following the progress of the smushed leg since I got your ghost of the robots ticket :/

Do I need help? **looks comically disturbed**

I watched my op on the big screen...
My motivation?
Part curiousity, part morbid fascination...part just to see the look on their face when I asked :)
