Shiny Thing!
Feb. 24th, 2006 04:39 pmI just took delivery of Shiny New Phone, part II. Part I was the K600i, that got sent back for not having user-definable folders for saving text messages into. Part II is a Nokia N70, which is just a minor improvement on my 6630 really... slightly better shape, better camera, that's about it I think.
I'm still sulking about the stupid missing feature on the K600i... I really liked that phone, but there's no way I'm leaving hundreds of text messages all jumbled up in my inbox for the next 12 months.
Now I have to try and figure out how to get rid of Orange Homescreen from both the 6630 and the N70. I'm going to try and persuade my local Nokia Service Centre to re-flash the ROM on the grounds that the Orange software counts as a handset fault :) Obviously I'll try this with the old phone first and see if it works, before embarking on potential breakage of the new handset.
