Nope. The Crown very rarely prosecutes when the case is unclear, particularly for fiddly little outcomes like a broken leg. As there were no witnesses on either side, they didn't feel the case was clear-cut enough to prosecute either of us.

What was that, another 15 minutes on the phone to your solicitor, to tell him to ask for more? That'll be £60,000 pounds per hour for your effort, plus four years with a pretty trashed leg of course.

Absolutely fucking excellent news.

I know it's been 4 years, but mine took 7 and crap lawyers meant I got fuck all. Mind you, I learned, the hard way, a whole pile about law and bikes etc. I hope there's never a next time, but if there is I'll be so much better prepared.

Glad you had a good lawyer, it really does count.
