I should hopefully still be able to accompany you if you need to move the surgery date two weeks later (i.e. into the first week of June), although it'll be the last few days before thesis submission so it'll be complicated ... The second week of June, however, is completely impossible. I hope it can all be worked out ... feel free to give me a text if you want to chat and I'll call you. *hugs*

I won't be moving the surgery... the next provisional date for it would be four or five months away, I don't want to put it off that long. There's still some chance of things resolving in a good way, but it's a bit out of my control at this point. Hence the fingernail-gnawing.
